Apple Music – Flying Lotus Social Asset
In 2019 Flying Lotus released his new album Flamagra. Having been five years since his latest album, Apple Music wanted to celebrate this accomplishment with an animated film to be used on various social channels.
With a limited time line of about 2 weeks I was tasked with designing and animating a film that embodied the visual style of the album. The solution came down to a mix of 2D elements borrowed from the album artwork itself. We then animated and composited these elements in a 3-dimensional world that takes the viewer through the surreal and psychadelic aestethics of "Flamagra".
